Those who are thinking about changing schools often consider a boarding school. Together, parents and children decide which school offers the best conditions for academic and personal development.
There is much to be said for Internat Solling: As an alternative to the public school system, our Gymnasium offers intensive support, individual support and a stable environment – with a learning culture that goes far beyond pure specialist knowledge.
Whether out of their own desire or joint decision: Many students choose the Solling boarding school to fully develop their potential.
Our school community accompanies young people from the 5th grade to the Abitur – with small classes, personal support and dedicated teachers who support each child individually.
Our goal is more than a successful graduation: We want to promote curious, critical and self-confident personalities who take responsibility and go into the future with openness and courage.
We attach great importance to the “how” of learning – to thinking, questioning, creating. Because knowledge is only valuable if you know how to use it creatively and responsibly.
Here, people research, discuss, question and experience together - in an atmosphere that combines security and intellectual freedom.
Our historic buildings tell of the long history of the boarding school and the spirit of its founders. In combination with modern pedagogy, they create an inspiring learning and living environment.

LSH 1990 – 1999
Even though I have already achieved a lot in my life, both professionally and privately, I constantly strive to be a little better tomorrow than I was yesterday. I really don't know when I was last bored.
LSH 1959 – 1968
"Being a part of something big" was significant for me in my school days at Internat Solling. [...] The spirit of togetherness that prevails at LSH has certainly also shaped my management style: For me, human interaction always comes first, and I attach great importance to communicating with my counterpart at eye level
LSH 1992 – 1995
I led and still lead a very exciting and eventful life. And I'm happy. The foundation of this happiness – I am firmly convinced of this – was poured in the LSH. By imparting values, by living together with mentalities of different colors, as well as by good friends who shaped my character in a lasting positive way and shape me to this day.
