Costs
Of course, attending boarding school is always associated with costs. We can’t change that. However, we promise that your child can expect the best in return.
Here you will find an overview of the costs for attending the Solling boarding school and information on the tax deductibility of school and childcare costs. In addition, Internat Solling offers a number of merit scholarships and funding opportunities, so do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

Subject to legal changes, the following tax deductions apply: In Germany, 30% of the monthly or annual school costs can be claimed for tax purposes as special expenses, up to a maximum of €5,000 per year and child. Additional costs for food, care and accommodation are not included. For this purpose, we prepare and send annual certificates of the relevant school costs. Since the respective annual financial statements are required for this and the local tax office checks the calculation, the shipment takes place in April or May. In addition, for children under the age of 14, childcare costs can be deducted from tax as special expenses. If you need a certificate of this, please contact our accounting department (05531-1287-230, sven.menke@internatsolling.de).
