Competitions are part of sport – and of life. They promote ambition, perseverance and the ability to deal with success and defeat. At the Solling Sports Boarding School , we see sporting competitions as an important part of the personal development of our students.
Whether in a team or as individual athletes – our young people learn to compete fairly, to use their skills in a targeted manner and to work together towards a goal. Fairness, respect and team spirit always come first.
Our teachers and trainers prepare the children and young people specifically for competitions. They help to set realistic goals, avoid being over- or under-challenged and keep the fun of sporting comparison . Because it’s not just about medals or placings, but about the experience of facing a challenge – and growing from it.
During the school year, our students regularly take part in internal, regional and national competitions. We are particularly active in the areas of football and horseback riding, where our teams and riders compete in tournaments and point games throughout Lower Saxony.
In addition, numerous other competitions provide sporting ambition and shared experiences:
In this way, our students experience sporting challenges in many forms – always accompanied by mutual respect, shared joy in success and the pride of being part of a strong team.
