Learning path
Lower Saxony was the first federal state to return to G9 – and we welcome this decision. Because more time means more space: for in-depth learning, personal development and diverse extracurricular experiences.
This gives them the opportunity to work on topics more thoroughly, to pursue individual interests and to create space for career orientation, stays abroad and dialogue with young people .
Pedagogical concept
Our pedagogical concept accompanies the students from the lower school to the middle school to the upper school.
Each learning phase has its own focal points, which are tailored to the respective stage of development – with individual projects, targeted support and personal learning goals.
In this way, we ensure that every student is optimally supported and challenged – according to their own strengths, interests and needs.
For particularly high-achieving young people , there is the possibility of skipping one year and completing the grammar school in eight years upon application.
School as a living and development space
Despite all the performance standards, we see school not only as a milestone on the way to a career.
Schooling at Internat Solling is a formative phase of life in which young people learn to take responsibility, discover interests and experience themselves as part of a community.
We create the space they need for this – for education with depth, learning with joy.
In short:
- More time for learning and personal development
- Individual support in every learning phase
- Option for high-performing students: Skip vintage possible
- Holistic learning: Knowledge, values, responsibility
Learning with head, heart and hand – the lower school at Internat Solling
The lower level at the Solling boarding school offers children a gentle, yet challenging introduction to learning at the grammar school. In small classes and the boarding school community, students learn to take responsibility for themselves and others, to remain curious and to develop confidence in their own abilities.
Learning and growing in the middle school at Internat Solling
In the middle school at Internat Solling, young people experience a learning phase that combines professional foundation, personal development and community responsibility. Building on the lower school, independent, project- and competence-oriented work is increasingly encouraged here.
Academic excellence in the upper school at Internat Solling
On the way to the Abitur, we promote independent thinking, scientific work and personal maturity. Small learning groups, committed teachers and fixed contact persons at the boarding school create a reliable framework – especially in a phase in which pressure to perform and questions about the future are growing.
