Parents & Parents' Council
The relationship between parents and boarding school Solling is traditionally close and trusting. As early as 1909, it was committed parents who founded the boarding school – since then, parenthood has played a central role in the life of our school.
Today, the parents are officially represented by the Parents’ Council . This meets regularly, deals with current topics and brings the interests of the parents into the decision-making process. The chairman of the Parents’ Council participates in the meetings of the Board of Trustees in an advisory capacity, so that the wishes and concerns of the parents are heard directly.

In addition, committed parents have founded the Parents’ Support Association . This offers a forum to propose projects and actions for the benefit of the students. In this way, ideas can be financially supported and successfully implemented that enrich life and learning at Internat Solling and further increase the attractiveness of our school.

Since 2018, our children have been at LSH (Abi 22, Abi 24, Grade 10). I have been involved in the parents' council since 2020. Due to the long connection and valuable time, the school is very close to my heart.
I am an interior designer, youth and learning coach.

As a direct neighbor of the LSH, the decision in favor of the school was quickly made. Our son is now in the 10th grade and feels very comfortable here. Personal initiative is encouraged, and teaching quality and reliability ensure a structure that I also know and appreciate in my everyday life as a project manager in a globally active company.

The Parents' Support Association
The association offers students, parents and employees a forum to propose actions and projects that serve the benefit of a group of students or the entire student body. It can make financial resources available for projects that cannot otherwise be realized or cannot be realized in this form. In this way, you can often help to make possible not only the most necessary, but also the special, the “icing on the cake”, to increase the attractiveness of school facilities.
In order to be able to win over even more parents for a financial and personal commitment to the association, we have reduced the basic fee to 30 € per year. You, dear parents, are welcome to increase this contribution voluntarily. We are also very happy to receive your suggestions for future actions and initiatives.
