Outdoor sports

Studies show that sports in the fresh air increase well-being, energy and concentration significantly more than pure indoor activities. Outdoor sports therefore play an important role at Internat Solling – both in the classroom and in our study groups.

Experience nature and learn responsibility

Outdoor sports combine exercise with the experience of nature and make an important contribution to environmental education. Nature sports projects have been an integral part of the curriculum for years: orienteering in the Solling, hiking or mountain biking with in-house bikes, climbing courses, sleigh rides or outdoor sports lessons. In addition to technology and sporting knowledge, we also address ecological relationships and convey an awareness of human responsibility towards nature.

A wide range of exercise offers

There are numerous sports facilities available on the boarding school grounds:

  • Large sports field for athletics, football, rugby – especially popular in the summer months
  • Calisthenics facility for strength and flexibility exercises
  • oversized chessboard in the garden
  • Tennis courts, beach volleyball and basketball courts, ping-pong tables
  • Riding arena, dressage arena and eventing track for riders
