Alumni
A special feature of a boarding school is that many students, parents and teachers develop a strong relationship with the old school after graduation.
At Internat Solling, this connection is still evident today: Former supporters contribute with their knowledge, contacts, networks and financial contributions to ensuring that our school remains exceptional – a place of which we are proud.
Memories that last
The memories of the time at boarding school are as diverse as the people themselves:
- One in particular remembers the rides.
- Another can still see the stairs of the upper house in front of him today.
- Some hear the bell calling for dinner.
- Others think of the roommate who became her best friend.
Hardly anyone leaves the boarding school without the experiences of this special time remaining alive.
The bond with the boarding school does not depend on academic success or grades. It is created through the experiences and community that make the boarding school a second home for many years.
Alumni meetings and networks
Many alumni return regularly, for example at the alumni meeting. They drive up Einbecker Straße, enjoy the Unterhaushof, the raspberry quark in the dining room and the evening language in the Hohe Halle.
For over 80 years, there has been the “LSH-Bund” (formerly: LandSchulHeim am Solling), in which around 850 alumni and friends are organized.
- Website: www.altschueler.de
- Annual member magazine: “Poison sparing”
- Membership possible for interested parties
About 15 years ago, the alumni network was also founded. Today, around 2,500 alumni are registered in a database and are informed about boarding school life via newsletters.
Commitment and support
Our alumni are involved in a variety of ways:
- as ambassadors who inspire families for the boarding school
- with lectures, consultations and internship placement
- through donations, which u. a. Enable merit-based scholarships and the renovation of the buildings in accordance with monument regulations
The support of our alumni is immeasurably valuable. Their CVs, experiences and networks enrich the school and contribute to ensuring that Internat Solling remains a unique place for future generations.
