Working at the Solling boarding school
Since the concept of the unity of life and learning is pursued at our boarding school, our teachers are also there for the students outside of class and spend part of their free time with them. The responsibility also applies to areas for which the legal guardians are otherwise responsible – from A for dinner to Z for quarrel with the best friend.
But it is precisely through this lived closeness and because both sides perceive each other in their whole personality that sustainable relationships and a positive learning atmosphere can develop. The development of young people can be followed more attentively, which for many is part of the essence of the profession and therefore represents a great enrichment.
Focus on personality development
In addition to the teaching obligation, you are also available to supervise a boarding school group. Depending on the age and number of children or adolescents cared for, there will be less teaching and corrections, but more relationship work and personality development. For taking on a group, there is an allowance and a cheap service apartment on the spacious grounds. Your own family is also welcome to come along. Additional benefits that we offer our employees include participation in the company pension scheme, a special payment based on earnings and performance, and a bike leasing program.
It is also attractive that the distances are short – not only on the premises, but also to the school, business and teaching management. With a maximum of 15-20 students, often less, the classes are more familiar than at public schools; in the small upper school courses, intensive preparation for the Abitur is possible.
