Learning, living,
growing

The boarding school in Lower Saxony

Since its foundation in 1909 as a country school home on Solling , the Solling boarding school has stood for a holistic education that goes far beyond the classroom. Today it is a state-approved boarding school in Lower Saxony, where around 200 students live and learn in the midst of the idyllic landscape of the Weser Uplands – in a familiar, cosmopolitan and international environment.

Teaching with personality: Small classes and individual support

At Internat Solling, children and young people experience school as a lively community with clear structures and fixed rituals. Here they can discover their strengths, develop self-confidence and make friends for life.

Our pedagogical concept focuses on each child individually. Small classes, personal support and a wide range of offers beyond the classroom ensure that every talent is seen and promoted – regardless of origin, age or gender.

Our teachers accompany the young people personally, strengthen their social skills and give them support. For many, the Solling boarding school thus becomes a second home – a place where they can grow.

School for Life: Learning, Responsibility and Community

Education at Internat Solling means more than grades and curricula. We promote perseverance, a sense of responsibility, analytical thinking and creativity. At the same time, we support the individual development of the personality – both inextricably linked to make children strong and independent for the future.

Some of our teachers live directly on campus with their families. This means that they can be approached around the clock – whether in class, during sports, in the theatre or simply in conversation in between. This closeness creates trust and enables real support in both school and personal life.

We take part in the small and big issues of life – in successes and setbacks, in homesickness or lovesickness. This creates a school community that supports and connects.
