Structure, community and security – these are central values at Internat Solling. Many parents say when they are admitted: “Our child needs structures!” And they are right: young people need a reliable framework to feel safe and to grow personally. This is exactly what our clear daily routines and rituals offer.
At the Solling boarding school, structures and recurring rituals create orientation in everyday life. They provide support, promote mindfulness and convey the feeling of home – far away from the parental home. These traditions have shaped our coexistence for decades and form the heart of our educational work.
Our students experience a daily routine that promotes community and responsibility. Typical for our boarding school are the shared meals in the so-called comradeships – our residential groups. The day begins with a joint breakfast, at noon and in the evening everyone comes together again to exchange ideas, talk and share the day – like in a big family.
These rituals provide security and create space for personal development. In this way, young people can build up emotional strength, take responsibility and develop trust in themselves and others – values that carry far beyond their school days.
