A lively network

The Solling boarding school fills the buzzword “networks” with life! Our school is part of a wide network of German and international partnerships that promotes exchange, reflection and personal development. A wide range of contacts enable our students to participate in exciting international projects, broaden their horizons and open up special opportunities for education and personal development.

Alumni & “LSH-Bund”

At the heart of our networks is our own student body, organized in the “LSH-Bund” – a tradition that is reminiscent of the school’s old name, LandSchulHeim.

The alumni maintain close contacts with each other and with the school and actively support our current students – be it through specialist lectures, internships, advice on starting their careers or financial support. More than 2,500 alumni regularly inform themselves about news from the boarding school via newsletters. Their solidarity, commitment and gratitude are an invaluable asset to our community.

Memberships & National Networks

Internat Solling is a member of the Internatevereinigung e.V., in which the most renowned German boarding schools are represented. We are also involved in the Working Group of Independent Schools of Lower Saxony, which represents the interests of the independent schools in the state.

With our membership in the school association “Blick über den Zaun” we commit ourselves to adhering to its progressive pedagogical standards and continuously developing them further.

International Relations

Our school has always been internationally oriented. Regular exchange programs, e.g.Erasmus+, take our students abroad – and international guests visit us. We always offer a supporting programme with excursions and activities to get to know our country, its culture and history.

In over 110 years, students from more than 80 countries and all continents have attended our boarding school. Particularly noteworthy is our traditional connection to Latin America.

Since 2009, the Solling boarding school has also been recognised as a UNESCO project school . Topics such as intercultural learning, sustainability and international understanding are not only taught theoretically, but actively lived – for example through participation in the Student UN (THIMUN) in The Hague or the Oslo Freedom Forum.

MINT-EC & Excellence in Natural Sciences
