Pupils

Around 180 boarding school students from all over Germany live and study at Internat Solling – mainly from the north, west and center of the country.
But our community extends far beyond national borders: Students from Mexico, Spain, Brazil, China, Ukraine, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, France and Egypt also enrich our school life with international perspectives and cultural diversity.

About 70 external students from Holzminden and the surrounding area also attend our high school and are an integral part of the school community.

Why children and young people come to us

The reasons for attending boarding school at Solling are as individual as the children themselves.
Some families want better learning opportunities, more intensive personal support or clear structures in everyday life.
Others opt for boarding school because a lack of time due to work, a change of residence or family changes require a stable school environment.
Tradition also often plays a role – many parents and grandparents were Sollingers themselves and would like to pass on this formative experience to their children.

In any case,
the school management conducts personal discussions with the families and makes sure that the decision is made together with the child .
Because only those who are convinced themselves can actively and happily shape life at the boarding school.
